“Die Geschichte einer Legende” – a 40-minute short – tells the tale of two boys who become friends after taking playful trips into their world of fantasy. Their parents, however, do not agree with their activities…
To bring said childhood fantasies to life, more than 80 people (including several VFX-artists) worked together to forge the scenery on screen. I was the lead animator for the Scarecrow-Character “Rupert”, animated the first half of the Stag Beetle scene (Beetle only) and was responsible for the rig and nCloth-Simulation of Rupert.
The film started as a Bachelor’s Degree project but was further developed by “26 frames” the following years. The short film is now just the beginning of a crossmedial tale that is about to be continued…
